Also, beginners are another target group, for the C10 models have smaller bodies than regular dreadnoughts and jumbos. Here’s the builder on the Collings C10 Deluxe Cutaway: C10 Deluxe is an upgraded variant of the C10 model.With this series Collings is aiming towards the electric guitar players who want to adapt to the acoustic guitars. ![]() The original hard shell case is included. Some top cracks were glued and cleated, and there is honest play wear to the finish where the player’s arm rested – this guitar has been used as intended! Fret wear is light to moderate. This example dates to perhaps November of 2000 and is in good working order, having been recently serviced by The Twelfth Fret Repair shop. The tuners are small body Schaller models and the pickguard is a faux-tortoise piece glued to the top’s finish, not the top. The top and bracing is Sitka Spruce, the sides and back Indian Rosewood, the body blocks and neck are Mahogany and the bridge, head plate and bound fingerboard are all ebony. The cutaway is offered as an option, with the base model being a traditional non-cutaway design. The Collings C10 Deluxe Cutaway fits into the range of ‘Parlor’ guitars, slightly smaller than the OM or 00/000 body sizes. ![]()
